The newest addition to the family. I'm very sad that these two didn't come while Patty and Kitty were here. They were born yesterday morning, at 3.30am to Sally the cashmere goat. Then, at roughly 8am, Betty Boop, a 12 year old sheep had a single black lamb. She has the finest, tightest, curliest wool and is so cute. She has become a bottle baby (bum) because Betty Boop doesn't have enough milk to feed her. That happens when they get that old. So, we're taking suggestions for names. There's two of these little guys, not twins, though they look almost alike, and the black ewe lamb. This is me, working on the quilt in the loft. Great picture, Mom...
This is a detail of the quilting design which I came up with--it was harder than I thought to do that crazy horseshoe at the top center of the red.
The red and white sawtooth quilt completed and on a bed.
This is Smiley (keeshond) watching over the new baby goats in the shade. You can see their momma eating just beyond at the edge of the far plum trees in the orchard.
