This is the newest project to distract me from the horrible sweater mess. Now that I know that the yarn does felt, albeit in weird directions, I am knitting this basketweave bag/purse--it will be felted. The leftover yarn from the flooring sweater will be put to good use. Even if the bag doesn't felt evenly, it's only to hold stuff, and it doesn't have to fit anyone, so I feel that I am safe. I will admit that I thought Mom was crazy when she learned to knit with the opposite hand, so that she didn't have to turn the ruffled scarf; well, I learned the same when I was doing the half triangles coming off the cast on edge.
all things become broken, it's the process of putting them back together, reconstructing the deconstructed that will bring peace to the individual mending broken wings.
